Prior to Hopkins Mr. Beverly was a research engineer with Marine System Engineering Lab. Some of his outstanding accomplishments include:
Autonomous Submersible Vehicle Project Design of vehicle frame, floatation, pressure housings, and propulsion thrusters Packaging of on-board computers for navigation and mission control Design and packaging of on-board battery pack, standby power, and charging system Design of mechanical “grabbers” and a reciprocating wiper arm
Arctic Ice Drill Project Drill design, fabrication, battery stack power supply and cable Packaging of on-board computer controller Authored and presented a technical paper on the drill design, and test results
