Before coming to FXC, Mr. Beverly was the Senior Mechanical Engineer at O.D. Hopkins Associates.  Mr. Beverly was responsible for developing and analyzing all of Hopkins’ ride vehicles. He was primarily responsible for providing a safe ride system for both guests and ride operators. Some of his responsibilities included:

 

Stress analysis and design of all ride vehicles for Hopkins

Design of passenger restraints and release mechanisms

Ergonomic design and analysis of passenger compartments

Ergonomic analysis of passenger entry and egress of ride vehicles

Prior to Hopkins Mr. Beverly was a research engineer with Marine System Engineering Lab. Some of his outstanding accomplishments include:

 

Autonomous Submersible Vehicle Project

Design of vehicle frame, floatation, pressure housings, and propulsion thrusters

Packaging of on-board computers for navigation and mission control

Design and packaging of on-board battery pack, standby power, and charging system

Design of mechanical “grabbers” and a reciprocating wiper arm

 

Arctic Ice Drill Project

Drill design, fabrication, battery stack power supply and cable

Packaging of on-board computer controller

Authored and presented a technical paper on the drill design, and test results
